Poecile poetica on elokuvaelma oikeudesta ja mahdollisuudesta erämaan kokemiseen. Elokuva kuljettaa kahden nuoren mukana syvälle luonnontilaiseen metsään, korpiin, hongikoihin ja puhtaan veden syntysijoille. Yhteys metsään syntyy kulkemisesta, kokemisesta, leikistä, toisenlaisesta tietämisestä ja eläinten kielillä puhumisesta. Elokuvan nimi viittaa nopeasti uhanalaistuneisiin metsätiaisiin. Luonnonmetsien osuuden huvettua Suomessa pariin prosenttiin metsäpinta-alasta, alkavat ne olla niin ihmisille kuin tiaisille äärimmäisiä pakopaikkoja.

Poecile poetica is a film about the possibility and right to encounter the wilderness. The movie alongside two youths guides one in to the depths of natural state woods; the backforests, pinewood paths and the clear waters’ birthplace. Connection with the woodlands forms out of wandering, feeling, play, other kind of knowing and the speaking through the faunas’ language. The name of the film is a reference to the rapidly endangering birds willow tit (Poecile montanus) and grey-headed chickadee (Poecile Cinctus). As the amount of natural state forests decreased to two percent out of the total forest areas in Finland, have the woodlands become the eventual hiding place for humans as well as for the tits.
